Western New York now has a locally opened and operated fly shop in Springville NY! We're starting out small here at 25 East Main street but hoping to only grow from here with this awesome community. The shop is only minutes from the upper and the lower Cattaraugus Creek (Springville is where the dam (Scoby Dam) is that separates the two) and actually has a small spring fed creek right out back.
We have a large assortment of fly tying materials ranging from tiny Ahrex hooks for nymphs and dries up to everything you would need to tie many different musky and pike flies. We carry PEAK vices, Loon tying tools, and UV torches and we also now offer tying classes for any one beginner to advanced here in the shop. There is always a large selection of flies tied by us and our good friends that are specifically designed for our area and waterways.
As Always QCG offers guided fly or spin rod boat and walk and wade trips for Great Lakes Steelhead, inland trout bass and now musky but we also just added a Euro nymphing instruction trip that is more about technique and rigging and comes with a set of nymphs so you can continue on fishing after the trip is over.
I have always loved working in retail because of the people you get to interact with. This is an awesome adventure that I'm excited to go on with the people of our area. We need less egos and more good times with friends and nature. Good luck out on the water everyone!
